Chapter 3
Chapter 2 and 3 are designed partially to show just how good Eclipse is at his job and what he'll do to get what he wants.
Eclipse is... full of himself. Really he is... He finds Dragon on a country dedicated to everything against what he believes. Not only does he steal Dragon back from them, he returns to stay there! For him, especially with Drake being that age and in the time period this is all set in, it would have been easy for him to have changed the situation. Before the event with Cináed, Drake's eyes could be mistaken for a redish-brown. His hair was dark, but it had a brownish tint before that tint when to a pitch black blue (Anything Pitch Black will have a blue tint to it). He was young enough and his parents saw him infrequently enough, Eclipse could have replaced him with an Occultation Lesser child and used his influence and persuasion powers to make it so no one would ever know the difference.
But he doesn't.
Drake nearly dies and he still remains thousands of miles away from Cináed's domain.
Why? Well, many reasons... all will be told later but 1 won't be known till the third story

Great chapter Ravyn! The level of character development and detail were perfect. I like cannot stop reading this...even at work. This just goes to show just how evil Eclipse really his. And now we know one reason why Drake hates his parents.
Well like I said im at work so gotta cut this short.

I always though that it was the queen who did that to Drake but once you saw Eclispe planning in this chapter it all clicked. Something so small in the previous story turns out to be really huge overal. I'm sure this won't be the only one and I look forward to seeing what happens through a different characters eye because it really does make all the difference.

YUP! That one event was MAJOR. Kid that age, already thinks his father hates him, only has his mother left... for her to do something like that is too much. And yeah, it's Eclipse who did it. Marina's not that cruel hearted, but Eclipse sure as HELL is! 'Course, Drakey doesn't know it was him... even at the end, in OMWF, he still isn't fully sure it if was Marina, or if it was her under Eclipse's control, or what.
